News about Tia Sharp
10/08/2012 17:23:00

Tragic news has just reached me that police have discovered a body in Tia Sharp’s grandmother’s house.

The police have yet to formally confirm that the body is Tia’s yet this devastating development will come as a huge blow to her family and the community in New Addington, all of whom have worked tirelessly to try to find her over the past week.

The police and forensic teams now have a serious job to do and I ask that we all please allow them to get on with trying to close a case which has, in such a short period of time, affected so many of us in Croydon and around the country.

Despite the sad end to an emotional week I want to praise the community in New Addington for their relentless dedication to trying to help their neighbour’s family. So often in times of tragedy come inspirational displays of community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sharp family, the community of New Addington and everyone affected by this tragedy.

When did YOU last visit that sink estate?

If I were the MP, I would publicly go to tea once a month in a lower class area.

If you want to do something really useful, call for the sacking and arrest of Neil Basu-Clousea for Criminal Negligence in not ordering a forensic search when the rest of us already realised it was obvious after 2 days.

If you want something else useful to do, call for The Sun to give its £25,000 reward to the little girl who spotted and reported Hazell. Nobody else will speak up for her.

Speaking as someone that lives in New Addington I know that Mr Barwell, the Councillors and many others from the Council regularly come to visit our area. Hardly a weekend goes by that I havnt seen them knockign on doors and I hear that Mr Barwell went to visit the neighbours of Tia's grandmother as well to make sure they were as ok as they could be in the situation.

This is such a sad thing for our area but we have all pulled together and Mr Barwell seems to care more than the average Tory MP about us. I'm not a conservative voter, but even I can tell they're not all alike. He's a good egg.
