I was told this morning by Croydon Council officers that Thames Water have confirmed that they have now installed a new pressure reducing valve (PRV) at Park Hill Road, which has stabilised the water pressure around Turnpike Link. This should lead to a dramatic reduction in burst water mains.
They will also review the streets in the area to see if they qualify for mains replacement under the Water Services Regulation Authority guidelines.
I will of course continue to monitor the situation.
